The Big Bear Lake Department of Water (BBLDWP), reminds customers that all outdoor watering must be turned off by the end of October. Keep in mind you can save time, money and water by dialing it back, or even turning it off, much sooner than that. Outdoor irrigation includes, but is not limited to, drip systems, sprinklers, soaker hoses, and bubblers. Don’t forget to disconnect and drain drip lines and hoses anytime the temperature is forecast to drop below freezing.
If warm weather continues we encourage customers to use water from rain barrels or join the bucket brigade and collect water from the shower as you wait for it to warm.
